It is reported that SinoSteel, the largest steel production service provider located in mainland China, and Taiwan-based E-United Group signed an agreement for strategic cooperation February 10th turning on a new stage of cross-strait tie in the steel industry.
E-United Group, taking steel as its core business, owns four lines i.e. production, medical care, education and real estate. Both in the mainland and Taiwan, it has built YIEH United Steel, Yieh Phui Enterprise and Lianzhong etc.
The agreement pact says SinoSteel plans to set up a branch in Taibei to coordinate with E-United and help organize work there.
In steel sector, SinoSteel will supply raw materials, fuel, accessories, equipment etc for subsidiaries of E-United; the two sides may jointly build steel service centers and strengthen exchange of technology as well as hold shares in the affiliates each other. Besides, they may enhance cooperation in training and medical care of the staff, along with globe-wide collaboration in industrial investment, merger and acquisition and resource development.
It's expected to see a very big room of cooperation as the steel business is stepping up amid recovering economy of the mainland.
